Title: Manual QA Engineer
Reports to: Manager, QA
Overview:
Genzeon is looking for a Manual QA Engineer who will be a part of the Genzeon Shared Services team. We work closely with front end web, front end mobile, user experience, and design teams to build performant and forward-thinking e-commerce experiences for our customers. This QA Engineer will, as part of a cross-functional agile team, will utilize the latest testing tools to ensure the team continuously releases quality functionality to Client’s application suite.
Responsibilities
Produce effective and detailed software test plans and cases
Create and maintain testing framework and scripts (Postman and Jira)
Perform exploratory testing during iterations, identify and perform regression tests
Collaborate with QA and cross functional team members on all project related testing
Collaborating with Product Managers, Product Designers, and other Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products
Provide feedback on the various testing results and assist in shaping release efforts that support various business initiatives

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the organization from senior
management to associate level
Solid understanding of build tools and software configuration management standards (Jenkins)
Working knowledge writing and executing tests
Qualifications
Experience working in a tech-focused QA environment
Experience working with RESTful web services
Meticulous attention to detail and a willingness to learn
Working knowledge of retail and online commerce
Proven success working in Agile software development methodologies
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
An analytical mindset to not only identify bugs but also try to find the root cause
Bonus Points
Experience with Jira and Confluence
Open to being mentored and/or mentoring others on the team
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
